How we protect children
Verifiable parental consent
Students under the age of digital consent need a parent or guardian to approve their account before AI features unlock.
Age-appropriate content
Explanations, tone, and complexity adapt to the student age and year level. Younger students get simpler, safer interactions.
Parent visibility, not surveillance
Parents see progress, effort, and activity - never private tutor conversations, homework answers, or personal messages.
Data minimisation
We collect only what is needed for learning. Children data is never used for advertising or sold to third parties.
Safety controls
Parents can manage safety modes, reminder settings, and review or delete their child data at any time.
Privacy by design
Our systems are built to protect young users, following strict privacy and child safety standards.
Parental consent
When a student signs up and is under the age of digital consent in their country, we require a parent or guardian to provide verifiable consent. The parent receives an email with a secure link to approve the account. Until consent is granted, AI features remain locked and the student sees a limited experience.
What parents can control
- Approve or revoke consent for their child account.
- Set the academic integrity safety mode (balanced, strict, or open).
- Enable or disable study reminders and email notifications.
- Review their child learning progress and activity.
- Delete their child account and all associated data.
