How to permanently delete your Mentra AI account and the data we hold.

Deleting from the app
1. Open Settings
Sign in to Mentra AI and go to Settings from the navigation menu.
2. Choose "Delete my account"
You will see exactly what will be removed before anything happens.
3. Confirm
Type DELETE to confirm. Deletion begins immediately and cannot be undone.
Go to Settings if you are already signed in.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile, learning preferences and curriculum settings
- All tutor conversations and messages
- Homework uploads and their analyses
- Assignments, study plans and scheduled tasks
- Flashcards, quizzes and quiz results
- Progress history, topic mastery, streaks and achievements
- Notifications and reminder settings
- Links between your account and any parent or child account
- Your membership of any class or school
Any active subscription is cancelled as part of deletion, so you are not billed again.
What is not deleted
Deleting your account does not delete anyone else's account. If you are a parent, your child keeps their account and their work — only the link between you is removed. If you are a teacher, your students keep their accounts and their work; the classes you created are removed and students are unenrolled from them.
We may retain a minimal record of the transaction where we are legally required to, such as billing records kept for tax purposes. These contain no learning content.
Timing
Deletion starts immediately when you confirm. Your data is removed from our live systems straight away, and from routine encrypted backups within 30 days as those backups age out.
Requesting deletion another way
If you cannot sign in, or you are a parent or guardian requesting deletion of a child's account, contact us via the contact page from the email address on the account. We will verify the request and confirm once the account has been deleted.
